How To Fix A Phone That Won't Charge
After a point of time, all our phones tend to malfunction in some way. One of which is the charging problem. Have you ever wondered why your how your phone charges so fast and loses charge at the same speed? Or how your phone charges so slow but still manages to lose charge so quick? Well, there are several reasons for this problem because of some fault in your charging cable or the charging port itself. There's no need to get a new phone for this problem which can instead be fixed at home or by simply giving it to a mobile service center which would be easier and will also save you some money. Some techniques to fix these problems are as follows:
Port Fix
The easiest way to fix this problem is
to switch off your mobile phone, remove the battery if possible, and try to
'lever up' the little tab inside the charging port in your mobile phone. This
must be done with extreme precision because even a little extra push the whole
charging port can be broken.
Cleaning Dust or Lint
Lint is the accumulation of fibre
which is present in our pockets. This lint is so small that they can enter the
charging port and sit on the metallic surface and not let your mobile phone
charge. Dust and sometimes chocolates being so sticky are also major reasons
for this problem. A simple solution would be to use a can of compressed air
that can blow out the offending irritants and get your USB connection back to
normal.
Switching Charging Cables
Most of us are always recommended to
use the charging cables that come with the mobile phone itself—especially apple
users whose mobile phone's get extremely faulty when a fake charging cable is
used. To find out if a wire is defective, try using another and check if it's
charging correctly. If it does all you've got to do is just to change your
charging cable.
Switching Charging Adapters
If there's no fault in your charging
cable, obviously the next best thing to do is to check if your charging adapter
is defective. Similar to the charging cable, try changing your charging adapter
and charge your phone and if it works fine then just get a new charging
adapter.
Replacing the Battery
One of the most apparent reasons for a
charging problem is when the battery is worn out. Batteries tend to stop
working at a particular point in time. The more you charge and drain your
battery, the more damage you're doing to it, it sounds pathetic, but that's the
bitter truth. If your battery stops working in just six months after you've got
your phone them, you can always change it using your warranty. Otherwise, if
you take it to a local mobile repair shop, they will do it for you for a very
reasonable cost rather than a branded showroom.
Conclusion
Charging problems are the most
fundamental problems on your mobile phone, which can be easily fixed. Once you
try out all the above solutions to fix your mobile phone and it still does not
work, you can always take it to a local mobile repair shop in Chennai to get it
fixed.
